What Slater Elementary Means to Me

My name is Shondria Nolan.  I am a second grade teacher here at Slater Elementary.  This is my tenth year teaching and my tenth year here at Slater.  Slater is very dear to my heart.  It is here that I learned what it takes to be a dynamic teacher.  With mentors like Mamie Brown and Elizabeth Bland, I have been able to blossom into the best second grade teacher I can be. 

I love the staff of Slater.  We are truly a family.  I know I can count on my team and other members of the staff for assistance and support. 

The students and parents here at Slater are terrific as well.  Most of our parents are involved with their student’s education.  Although many are not able to come to the school, they offer support at home. 

The Slater family cries together, laughs together, and succeeds together.  I am proud to be a member of the Slater family.
