Last year's winner I Need My Monster was a huge hit with students. We will have a popcorn party and vote for our favorite nominee later this spring. Included in the fun, we'll continue to learn how to effectively use the library, focus on acquiring information literacy skills, and enjoy many IB lessons. We'll put on plays using the very popular Reader's Theater, learn about tall tales, fairy tales, and folk tales, and celebrate literature through cultural events and holidays along the way. In the process, we will learn to how to find resources in the media center using the Online Public Access Catalog, and increase our knowledge of dictionaries, almanacs, atlases, and encyclopedias. Students, teachers, and parents are always welcome to come to the media center as often as they like! See you soon!!! |
