While it is true that APS faced a unique set of challenges in 2011, we have successfully managed our way through many of those issues. Published scores for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) are proof that our students’ academic progress is real, continuous and sustainable. In fact, NAEP scores in reading and math show that APS students had the most gains in 3 of 4 categories tested compared to other school districts.
