WELCOME TO FIFTH GRADE!
      
   Welcome parents, friends, and families to 5th Grade at Dobbs! We are a thriving, dynamic team of over eighty students and five teachers who have a real passion for learning. From reciting the Dobbs Creed proudly each morning to learning high-level subject matter in class, our students are preparing every day to be independent learners in middle school and throughout their lives. Specifically, some of our academic themes for this school year include the Civil War, genetics, manipulating decimals, and writing multi-page essays. Globalization means that students of the future need to be true critical thinkers, and our curriculum is preparing our students to be leaders in whatever fields they ultimately choose.
 
   We are a very close-knit grade level, and this year we will be sponsoring a variety of extracurricular events in order to bring our community even closer together.There are several ways that you can be apart of our team. Ask teachers about volunteer opportunities, observe a lesson with your student, and participate in offered school-wide activities.Our grade level looks forward to accomplishing great things this year, and we hope you join us!
