NOTICE: On Friday December 14, 2012 the Inman Local School Council will hold elections for the remaining terms of the two Parent Member-Business Partner positions on the council. Terms for these two positions will expire in September, 2013. Candidates must be parents or guardians of an Inman student and employed. Prospective candidates are asked to submit a written statement of intent with a description of how their business/employment experience may be beneficial to serving on the Local School Council. Nominations must be submitted to LSC chair Tim Langan - t_langan(at)hotmail.com - by Tuesday, December 4th. Candidates' statements will be posted for community review prior to the December 14th elections. Elections will be held at Inman and each parent/guardian of an Inman student is eligible to vote. About the Inman MS Local School Council The Local School Council(LSC) for Inman Middle School is a collaborative group of parents, teachers, and business partners, whose purpose is to advise and make recommendations to the principal, local board of education and local school superintendent on matters relating to school improvement and student achievement. The establishment of school councils, under Georgia’s A+ Education Reform Act of 2000 (HB1187), is intended to help local boards of education by bringing parents and the community together with teachers and school administrators to create better understanding and mutual respect for each other’s concerns.
