Sutton Middle School -  International Baccalaureate World School
Willis A. Sutton Middle School has the distinction of being an International Baccalaureate World School.  We are part of the Middle Years Programme or MYP.  The MYP goes from 6th through 10th grades.
 
Mission: 
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

There are three fundamental concepts: communication, intercultural awareness, and holistic learning.  Holistic learning involves all aspects of the whole child and how they relate to their world. Important features of holistic learning are reflection, community service, and realizing the relationships between what is learned and the real world.
