Students and faculty at HMS are constantly striving for success. Here is a list of some of our most recent accomplishments:

• Met AYP for the 2007-08 school year
• 92.6% of juniors passed the GHSGT in Writing on the first attempt (2008-09)
• 5 students are participating in the Emory Rise Program
• Students are successfully completing the JROTC program
• The SAHS Marching Band was recognized at the district convocation ceremony.
• Basketball and Football programs continue to gro
• Dr. Dawn Samad and Cristy Wynn are quarter finalists for Atlanta Families Award
• Congratulations to student Taylor Stallworth, who is a Governor’s Honors Program finalist in Biology
• Dr. Dawn Samad completed the Biotechnology Institute in San Diego, CA (summer 2008)
• Recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award for Algebra 1 performance (2007-08)
• Congratulations to student Taylor Stallworth, who is a Ben Carson Scholar 2008
