Resolutions
In order to accomplish this we make the following resolutions:
All students can learn and have a right to a quality education. Therefore, all students will have access to experiences that will address their individual needs and promote maximum student achievement.
In order to engage students in learning, teachers will utilize inquiry-based instruction centered on authentic experiences related to student interests.
We will recruit the most passionate, highly qualified and culturally competent faculty and staff.
We will provide a comprehensive and personalized student support system including advisory and distributed counseling in order to support our students in reaching high expectations.
Student will demonstrate high levels of achievement on external standardized assessments as well as performance assessments created in conjunction with community and higher education partners.
We will regularly analyze student data in order to inform our practice and continue to raise student achievement.
We will develop leaders for positive change by modeling social justice values, integrating social justice into the curriculum and providing students with relevant external experiences in the community.
All stakeholders – students, families, teachers, partners, and community members – will participate in the decision-making process.
We will maintain open lines of communication between faculty, staff, students and parents.
We will strive for continuous professional growth in order to increase student performance and achievement.
We will create a culture that celebrates our students’ work and successes publicly.
We will seek external sources of funding and resources in order to provide students with resources and technology in order to compete in the global economy.
We will build partnerships and collaborate with key individuals and organizations in our community to expose our students to the many facets of law and social justice and to bring resources into our community.
Each student will have a mentor from the community who works in a field related to the student’s interests.
Our students will have a sense of pride in their community and serve as resource to community members.
All students will graduate, be accepted to college and have access to the financial resources to pay for college.
