The School of Communications and Journalism is a broad-based, focusing on a wide range of traditional and alternative media and new communication technologies. Students are provided with theoretical and practical frameworks for understanding media development, production, distribution, and its multiple social, political, cultural, and cognitive effects domestically and globally. The schools focuses on enhancing student's abilities to write, speak, and think critically about differing media and modes of communication while recognizing quality in written, visual, and multimedia texts. These broad-based, flexible skills enrich students' lives and offer them the tools that they need to thrive in a profession revolutionized by rapidly  evolving communication technologies.
