                                                George Alexander Towns Elementary is a neighborhood school nestled in the Collier Heights community and has served this community since 1963.  The physical plant has undergone several transformations including transitioning from Georgia's first solar-energy school to the addition of a whole new wing in 1998.   However, it is not the physical plant that we are most proud of-- it is the accomplishments of the hardworking people --students, teachers and parents-- that bring us our joy !

Towns' teachers and staff strive to ensure that the students are afforded every opportunity to obtain an education that is second to none.  We are proud and elated that the hard work of our dedicated teachers and students, over the past five years has provided excellent results.
