Dr. Brown

Greetings Parents!

WOW!

It seems as if it was only last week that we scurried about in efforts of bringing closure to the 2012 school term. WOW! Here we are Monday, August 6, 2012, beginning another year of grade level studies that will surely challenge each of the boys and girls of J. W. Dobbs Elementary School. As your assistant principal, I am truly excited to WELCOME each of you to a wonderful school year. To reference our school name sake John Wesley Dobbs, I challenge each of you, “our students” in grades kindergarten through five to “look up and reach for the stars.” There is absolutely no limit to what you can accomplish this school year through hard work and perseverance.

Several years ago the recording group, Earth, Wind, and Fire, recorded a song titled “You’re a Shining Star, no matter who you are, shining BRIGHT to see, who you can truly be… “

Students, know that YOU ARE SHINING STARS. You are YOU! You are special! You MUST shine brightly, so that not only you will see, but also, so the world can see who you can truly be.

There is a WORLD OF WONDER waiting for you here at Dobbs, as you begin to shine throughout this 2012 – 2013 school term.

Watch Out World! Dobbs students WILL SHINE!  “Get my rhyme? WOW!
