School Council Minutes

School Council Members Present:  Dr. Susan Crim-McClendon Ketchia Smith, Edith Ladipo, James Tyler, Megan Linger, Sheretha Edwards,  Mary Byrd, Teresa Williams

Eight members were present, representing a quorum.

There were no visitors to attend the meeting.

1. Call to Order

Mary Byrd called the meeting to order at 9:15 AM

2. Inspiration

An inspiration was read by Ms. Williams

3. Approval of Minutes

Minutes from the last meeting held in April will be read at the November meeting

4. Approval of Agenda

Ms. Byrd distributed the agenda posted pursuant to the Open Meetings Act.  The agenda was approved unanimously.

5. Old Business

Technology in the classrooms

Traffic Light at the front entrance

Housing next door to the school

            New Business

            Staffing updates were presented by Dr. Crim-McClendon

            Title 1 funds reduction / uniforms for students and teachers

            Buckhead Church Mentor start date – October 1st

            Letter writing for the troops project

            No Executive Session was held.

With no further business to come before the school council, the meeting was adjourned at 10:05 AM
