About Ms. Smith 
I am a passionate English Educator and Communications Ambassador at Young Middle School possessing a Bachelor of Arts in English (with a minor in French) and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction through Creative Arts. I am both an educator and mother at heart so I enjoy teaching life skills, as well as, Literacy. I am energetic, enthusiastic, well-rounded, and highly competent. For the past decade, I have played an active role at my schools (JCYMS & FPMS). I take great pride in lending a high level of expertise to my scholars in the areas of English, Arts, and Technology, and boosting school spirit and morale (through student and staff support). Among other accomplishments, I was awarded 2006 FPMS Teacher of the Year. Consistently, I have produced a high students pass/exceeds rate on the Reading and Language Arts GACRCT. This year my students passed the GA Writing Test at 94% students meeting and exceeding standards. Because I continually seek craft mastery and face challenges with confidence and a smile, I have decided to seize the opportunity to reach the pinnacle of my interest (technology in education) by completing an Educational Specialist degree in Technology in Education.
