![]() Welcome! I am Chanirika Ball, the new fourth grade math teacher at Perkerson Elementary School. During the first half of the school year I had the privilege of serving as a second grade teacher. I am a recent graduate of the renown and historic Tuskegee University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude earning a B.A. degree in Elementary Education. I was an active student who was a member of many organizations and extracurricular activities. In addition, I am a product of the Atlanta Public School System. I graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 2007, where I was crowned Miss Booker T. Washington. I believe education is the key to success. I am also a firm believer that teachers have an important influence in a child's life. As an educator, I believe it is my responsibility not only to educate, but to impact the lives of my students as well. Three ways to effectively impact children's lives are through motivation, instruction and leading by example. In order to motivate and instruct teaches must be positive examples. I believe in upholding these duties to impact the life of any student to ever enter my classroom. As a new teacher I am excited to embark on the journey to success with my students. |
