JaMelia Baylor-Stroud College: South Carolina State University (Miss SCSU ’96-’97) Years in Education: 14th year Personal Philosophy/Statement about Education: My current philosophy of education expounds on the beliefs of my idle, Albert Einstein who says, “Imagination is more important then knowledge and knowledge is limited but imagination encircles the world.” It is this belief that allows me to support the need for this educating our children. I believe that all students have gifts and talents. With support from educators like me, it can be developed with unlimited possibilities. Teaching education allows me and the students a chance to “Think Out of the Box” with endless possibilities of being one of the greats and enabling students to conquer doubts and fears. I firmly believe that to achieve all that is possible, we must attempt the impossible, but to be as much as we can be, we must dream of being more. And for that child, this is the perfect start. Being able to touch young lives forever is the most rewarding experience! Hobbies: Time with Family, Singing, Acting, Dancing (Musical Theater), Arts & Craft, Volunteering, Event & Activity Planning, Movies, Reading and Creating. My Personal Motto: “KEEP THE FAITH, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF & DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!” |
