Parents, please continue to monitor your child’s homework daily.  We are still having some problems in this area.  Also, please schedule teacher conferences— we are delighted to be able to discuss your child's academic and behavior progress with you. Our school counselor has submitted an excellent article on the next page about how to make the most of our conference time together. We are continuing our study of American folktales and heroes so, ask your children about John Henry, Johnny Appleseed, Annie Oakley, Paul Bunyan, and Davy Crockett.  We are also learning geometry and beginning our study of magnets.
