BALANCED SCORECARD

Atlanta Public Schools understands that a sound strategic plan is essential to the effective delivery of a world-class education. APS employs the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) strategic management system to increase total customer value to students, parents, employees and community members.

The strategic management system allows APS to measure regularly core district performance functions while balancing integrated, SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound) objectives. In addition, the adopted system delivers a level of strategic clarity that ensures more accurate forecasting for future organizational needs.
