Burgess-Peterson Academy is one of the schools to watch in the coming months ahead. As we evolve into one of the highest performing elementary schools in the Atlanta Public School System, we have a rich heritage and legacy to be proud of.  Located in the Southeast corridor of the East Atlanta Community, Burgess-Peterson Academy currently serves approximately 260 students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grades. Our goal is to ensure that we provide students with hands-on and inquiry based teaching which will allow them an opportunity to continue to think critically and analytically for real-world application.  Over 80% of the faculty/staff hold advanced degrees in the field of education and we believe in life long learning.
